Solar Generator Project
If you're going to have solar electric at some point, then "going solar" first makes sense. The uses for a portable power source are never ending. All manner of electric power tools, appliances, gadgets could be powered by a solar generator. Gas chain saws or weed eaters would not be needed. Most power tools pull less than 15 amps at 120V, or 1,800 watts. So a solar generator that could deliver 1,800 watts would power most anything. You could power a table saw or washing machine, for example. Two 210 watt solar panels, a couple of deep cycle batteries, an inverter and battery charger would be enough.
The A-frame holds four golf cart batteries and two panels. The lower part can be folded up, while the four wheels allow the whole shebang to be turned in place to follow the sun.
The electric wheelbarrow could be parked under the generator and have its battery charged. Folding up the legs allows the generator to be moved using the power wheelbarrow.
